Shipping and Storing Cheese
Cheese is stored in one of three onsite storage locations.
After the cheese has been stored and aged for a certain amount of time it is
shipped. Our cheese is shipped via rail or semi truck. There is approximately
75 million pounds of cheese shipped from our factory every year.
Refrigerated Railcars
These
refrigerated railcars can be controlled from anywhere in the United States. The
motors mounted on every railcar can be started through a GPS system. The motors
are used to cool the car to the appropriate temperature for storing cheese.
