The Seal Line position is in the Packaging Room of the plant and is considered an introductory level position. Our starting wage is $11.00 - $11.50 per hour, to include an additional $1.00 shift differential on nights. This is a full time position averaging 42 hours a week on a fixed two week repeating schedule. Shifts are 12 hours in length and start at either 6:00 am or 6:00 pm.

 

Quick Position Description
 

 Major duties include: sealing, weighing, and stacking finished product in excess of 700 lbs in cooler; clean and sanitize equipment and room; chart product data; and operate equipment. This requires the physical ability to frequently lift and carry 10 to 24 pounds and to push and pull 38 to 110 pounds. Good mathematical skills required. Forklift experience helpful.

Seal Line Duties:  This position is responsible for  guiding  the filled boxes through the tilt banks and vacuum chambers, inspecting final product and adding the final spring boards and lids to each box. Each box is also banded and labeled for storage. Seal Line operators are responsible for the safe and efficient stacking of each box in the cooler.

 

Seal Line Sanitation: Daily sanitization and scrubbing is required along with weekly special projects. Good manufacturing practices must be followed at all times when working with product, equipment and systems.

 Individuals hired for the night shift box maker position rotate between the packaging room positions instead of end of day sanitizing.
